Jade

Jade is two stones: jadeite and nephrite. Jadeite (Mohs 6.5-7) is denser, vivid, often dyed lavender, green, or pink. Nephrite (Mohs 6-6.5) is ancient China's jade — tougher thanks to tightly interwoven fibers that resist breaking under pressure.

Most commercial jade is dyed. Jadeite accepts color beautifully. We label clearly: Natural or Dyed. Many pieces are Dyed Nephrite — affordable and vibrant.

Despite lower hardness, jade is among the toughest gemstones you can wear. Ancient cultures carved weapons and tools from it because it resists shattering better than harder stones.

Jade works for all jewelry: rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings. Clean gently with warm soapy water. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners if dyed.
