Our Krobo bead collection is one of our favorites — and one of the largest you'll find online. These stunning powder glass beads are made by skilled artisans from the Krobo people of Ghana, West Africa, using a traditional technique that starts with recycled glass ground into fine powder, packed into clay molds and fired in a kiln until fused. Each bead is then hand-decorated with colorful glass paste applied with a thin wooden stalk, then fired a second time to set the design. The result is a bold, vibrant bead bursting with personality — stripes, dots, checkers, geometric patterns — in an incredible range of color combinations. No two strands are identical.
