Krobo
Our Krobo bead collection is one of our favorites — and one of the largest you'll find online. These stunning powder glass beads are made by skilled artisans from the Krobo people of Ghana, West Africa, using a traditional technique that starts with recycled glass ground into fine powder, packed into clay molds and fired in a kiln until fused. Each bead is then hand-decorated with colorful glass paste applied with a thin wooden stalk, then fired a second time to set the design. The result is a bold, vibrant bead bursting with personality — stripes, dots, checkers, geometric patterns — in an incredible range of color combinations. No two strands are identical. Sizes range from petite 17x7mm to chunky 36x14mm, all priced per strand. If you love color and love beads that tell a story, you are going to love our Krobo collection.
