The natural form of agate is rarely pure black; the deep black tones you see are achieved through dyeing, heat treatment, or both. This is a traditional, industry-wide practice that dates back centuries.

We label every Black Agate strand as Dyed and/or Heated. No guessing, no marketing-speak.
