Opalite Glass

Opalite Glass

Opalite — also known as sea opal glass, opalized glass, or opal moonstone — is a man-made glass with a glowing milky-blue luminescence that catches light from within. It's not a natural gemstone. Opalite mimics the dreamy iridescence of opal and moonstone, and we say so plainly.

Hold a strand to a dark background and you'll see the signature blue glow. Hold it to the light and it shifts to a warm amber. That's what makes opalite so addictive to work with.

Our Opalite Glass collection includes smooth and faceted rounds (4mm through 14mm), cubes, ovals, rondelles, hearts, stars, teardrops, coins, squares, nuggets, frosted heishi, and pendant shapes (sun, spider, sunflower, heart, drop). Hardness 5.5-6.

Beautiful in boho, celestial, mermaid, and bridal jewelry. Pairs well with sterling silver, freshwater pearls, moonstone, and labradorite. Ships from our US warehouse.
