Ocean Agate is a chalcedony in soothing, sea-inspired colors — greens, grays, creams, soft whites, and earthy browns swirled and banded like a tidepool. It's a mostly opaque stone, and no two beads are alike.

A note on the name: Ocean Agate and Ocean Jasper get mixed up constantly — even within the trade. Both are chalcedony; the trade splits agate from jasper by translucency. Ocean Agate leans opaque, with banded, swirling patterns. Ocean Jasper — trademarked, from one stretch of Madagascar coast — is known for round "orb" patterns. Quick rule: orbs mean Ocean Jasper; bands and swirls mean Ocean Agate.
