Ruby

Ruby is one of the most prized gemstones in human history — and we're genuinely proud of what we carry here. Ruby is a variety of corundum colored red by the element chromium, ranging from pink-red to blood-red to orange-red and purple-red. It's one of the hardest natural minerals on earth at Mohs 9, second only to diamond. The word ruby comes from "ruber," Latin for red. It's July's birthstone.
