Ruby Zoisite or Ruby in Zoisite is the natural combination of both ruby and zoisite crystals in a single specimen. To this day, Tanzania remains the main source for Ruby Zoisite. Zoisite provides an earthy green color, while ruby inclusions give it pink and red highlights.
Ruby Zoisite was discovered in Tanzania near the foot of the Kilimanjaro mountains by Tom Blevins, an English prospector om 1949. Initially, he thought that he had found vast ruby deposits.
