Outback Jasper is a lovely sedimentary rock composed of various colors of Jasper, with a little opal and various other minerals. It is found exclusively in the Outback, a remote and sparsely populated area of Australia. Outback Jasper is mined at its primary deposit, at a surface level and in shallow pits. It was discovered in 2009 and is legally mined with a low environmental impact.
This material can be scenic, almost looking like a desert, sometimes with sunset colors. Outback Jasper can also have striking patterns that resemble wood grain or petrified wood. It is usually milky white, beige and pinkish to lavender with grey, brown, and yellow patterns.
