Eagle Eye is one of the moodiest stones in the quartz family — a chatoyant gem with a silky, shifting band of light across its surface and a stormy palette of blue-grey, steel, gold, and brown that streaks together like weather rolling in.

Eagle Eye belongs to a true family of chatoyant quartz: it's closely related to Tiger Eye (the gold-brown one), Hawk's Eye (blue Tiger Eye), and Pietersite (the swirled one). All form the same way — fibrous mineral replaced by quartz — sharing that silky cat's-eye shimmer. Eagle Eye is the multicolor cousin, blending cool and warm tones in one stone.
