Chrome Diopside is sometimes called "Siberian Emerald" — a fitting name given its vivid forest-green color and striking resemblance to far more costly emeralds. The color comes from chromium, and it's 100% natural, never treated. What you see is what nature created.
This pyroxene mineral with chromium delivers gorgeous depth and clarity at a fraction of emerald's price. It was officially discovered in Siberia in the 1980s and quickly became a favorite for jewelry makers seeking rich, saturated green.
Chrome Diopside ranks 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale — softer than quartz or sapphire. Best for earrings, pendants, and necklaces. Avoid rings and bracelets where it might take impact. Handle gently and store separately.
