Aventurine

Aventurine is a form of quartz with a quiet secret: a soft, glittering shimmer called aventurescence, caused by tiny flakes of mica and other minerals catching the light from within the stone.

More precisely, aventurine is a quartzite — a rock made of countless fused quartz grains, rather than a single crystal. Those included minerals also give each color: green from fuchsite mica, blue from dumortierite, pink and yellow from iron-bearing minerals.

Our Aventurine is 100% natural — no dyes, no oil treatment. Worth knowing: much of the aventurine on the market is oiled or dyed to deepen its color. Ours isn't, and we label every strand.

Available in green, blue, pink, and yellow — in smooth rounds (4mm-10mm), faceted rounds, rondelles, coins, hearts, nuggets, squares, teardrops, and heishi.
