Eagle's Eye is part of the Pietersite family of quartz gemstones and is composed of a combination of Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye quartz. It is usually found in iron-rich environments, but Eagle’s Eye managed to stay untouched by iron, keeping their grey color instead of turning into brown Tiger’s Eye.

Eagle’s Eye is a variety of chalcedony with embedded trace mineral compounds and fibers that cause the chatoyancy or a “cat-eye” effect and a glowing affect when cut. This unique combination of quartz gives the Eagle’s Eye stone a mysterious stormy quality and alluring blue-grey color.

This is a natural stone that has had no treatment other than cutting, and polishing in China.
