 Orange calcite shows a rich orange color and crystalline texture, this soft mineral is at the 3 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Its color is due to the inclusion of hematite, an iron mineral which in certain quantities, will give calcite the orange appearance.  It is mostly found in the United States, Brazil, and Canada. 

This is a natural stone that has had no treatment other than cutting, drilling, and polishing in China.
